Day 1: Marrakech » Ait Benhaddou Kasbah » Zagora
Your 2-day desert excursion from Marrakech to Zagora begins with an 08:30 airport or hotel pickup on the first day, followed by a journey across the breathtaking Tizi N Tichka Pass and the enchanting Atlas Mountains. The breathtaking scenery of this spectacular pass will astound you thereafter. Berber towns and picturesque sceneries around the High Atlas Mountains. After that, we will have lunch and a tour of the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah with a local guide upon our arrival at this UNESCO World Heritage Site and the biggest Kasbah in Morocco. Thereafter, we will proceed with our 2-day desert excursion to Zagora via the Draa Valley. After we reach Zagora, camels will bring us to a desert tent where you may ride into the sunset. As the sun sets and the stars come out, treat yourself to a traditional Moroccan feast while listening to the music of the natives.
As you awake early, you are greeted by the attractive sight of the sunlight rising over the small dunes of the Zagora desert. This is accompanied by a typical breakfast in the bivouac of Zagora. The final part is the camel ride to meet your driver who is to drive you back to Marrakech. You will also have free time in Ouarzazate for lunch in one of the local restaurants and also visit the famous Kasbah of Taourirt. In the afternoon, we drive you back to Marrakech via the Atlas Mountain which brings an end to your Marrakech 2 days desert tour. Drop off in your accommodation around 6 pm.
