    Morocco 8 Days Itinerary

    Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech » Transfer to the Riad


    The first day of your 8 Days Morocco tour. Starts with a welcoming Pickup from the Menara Airport of Marrakech. And transfer you directly to the hotel / Riad for overnight stay. Feel free to take a leisurely wander at the famous square of Jemaa el Fna (the beating heart of the city).


    Day 2: Arrival in Marrakech » City Tour with a Local Guide


    Today of your second day in Morocco. Is dedicated to discovering Marrakech and its hidden gems. After a leisurely breakfast in your Riad start exploring this landmark city that filled in history. The imperial city of Marrakech was founded by the Almoravids in the 11th century. Your city tour includes visiting many enchanting landmarks such as: the Koutoubia Mosque, which considers as the symbol of the city. Next visit the authentic jewel of Almohad art, the Saadian Tombs, the Bay Palace, the Medina, and the famous Jemaa el Fna Square, where a multitude of vendors, acrobats, and Storytellers set their luck. Once your city tour ends goodbye your local guide, and continue your own strolls in the Medina and its surroundings. 


    Day 3: Marrakech » Ait Benhaddou Kasbah » Ouarzazete » Dades Valley


    After breakfast in your riad we set off onward journey to Boumalne Dades. Passing through Tizi N’Tichka pass an elevation of 2260 meters above the sea level. Once we arrive the ancient, fortified village of Ait Ben Haddou feel free to wander and have enough time for discovering this UNESCO World Heritage site enchants with its maze of earthen buildings nestled within towering kasbah walls. Evoking centuries of Berber history and culture.

    Free time for lunch in the area then continue to Ouarzazate to enjoy the beautiful natural landscapes and historical monuments of Taourirt Kasbah. Afterward, we continue to the Roses valley, famous for its annual Festival of Roses. Thereafter we pass through the Berber villages of El Kelaa M’Gouna to arrive to Dades Valley where we will spend the night in a traditional Moroccan house with dinner and breakfast.


    Day 4: Dades Valley » Todgha Gorges » Merzouga


    Today’s target point is the Sahara Desert of Merzouga which is known for the highest sand dunes in North Africa. It is called Erg Chebbi Sahara Desert and it is about 32 km long and 9 km wide. On our way, we will have the chance to see many oases such as the oasis of Tinjdad. Furthermore, along the way we will be passing through the little Berber towns of Mellab and Touroug where we can stop for lunch in a traditional Moroccan restaurant. After the break is done, we set off again enjoying the green oasis of palm trees of Tafilalet and the black Hamada before arriving to Merzouga, where you will be accommodated in a traditional Moroccan riad as well as having a local dinner.


    Day 5: Merzouga » Erg Chebbi and Camel Trekking


    After breakfast in the riad you’ll start your explorative journey of the area, starting by visiting the ‘village of the blacks’, originally slaves from Sudan, Mali and Senegal to experience their music and lifestyle. Besides, we will drive in the desert area to meet nomad families-living under Berber tents- to explore their way of life. Today’s lunch will be as a traditional Berber meal (Berber pizza) with a local family. You will have the option also to visit the old city of Rissani – the foundation of the Alaouite dynasty – the current ruling royal family in Morocco.

    Rissani is surrounded by about 360 ksar (a fortified village with many towers) and has a big souk (an open market), held three times a week. Once called Sijilmassa, this was the meeting place for the salt caravans, coming from Tombouctou in Mali. Here you’ll walk through the souk, selling spices, vegetables and cloths.


    Merzouga Camel ride


    After that we Drive back to the village of Merzouga. In the afternoon, you will ride your camel, guided by an experienced camel-man to explore what is hidden in the middle of the highest sand dunes in morocco. The camel trek takes about 1hr 30 min to the camp where you will then enjoy the sunset and watching stars. Dinner will be served in front of the tent where you will spend the night.


    Day 6: Merzouga » Draa Valley » Ouarzazate


    Before sunrise, you will be woken up to climb the sand dunes for catching fantastic photo opportunities and watch what might be the best sunrise in your life. We will then make our way back to the riad for a much-needed shower and breakfast before then hit the road on a journey to Ouarzazate, passing through Alnif, Tazzarine, Nkob, and the fantastic Draa Valley. Upon arrival to Ouarzazate spend the night in a guest house including dinner and breakfast.


    Day 7: Ouarzazate » Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah » Tizi N’Tichka » Marrakech


    After breakfast, we will set off for Marrakech, passing through the spectacular High Atlas Mountains again and we will then drop you off at your riad.


    Day 8: Marrakech Airport


    After Breakfast, depending on your departure time we transfer you to the Menara airport in Marrakech. End of our Private 8 Days Morocco Tour from Marrakech.
