3 days tour from Fes to Marrakech through the Merzouga desert

Day 1: Fes – Midelt – Erfoud – Merzouga

Our private tour begins with a drive towards the Atlas Mountains stopping to see the town of Ifrane, where we’ll get a chance to explore the famous Cedar forest, And wild Macaque, Then continue through the Tizi Ntalghamt Mountains Pass and the Ziz Gorge (here we can stop for pictures and some local mint tea) in Midelt.

Our drive proceeds across the Ziz Valley, Erfoud, and Rissani; an oasis. Once we arrive at the Erg Chebbi desert dunes, we’ll trade in the 4×4 for camels (optional) and ride towards our desert camp. Upon arrival there we’ll be served a complimentary traditional dinner, and enjoy some music around a campfire under the star and moonlit desert sky.

Day 2: Merzouga desert – Todra Gorge – Dades Gorge

We’ll fetch an early start to catch the sunrise in the Merzouga desert, and then return on camelback to the village. From there, we’ll leave to to Tinghir, to reach the Todra Gorge, which is the highest, narrowest gorge in Morocco. Here we may stop to hike within the valley, and after lunch in the gorge we will continue on to the Dades Gorge, where we’ll enjoy sand castles and also geological features called “monkey toes/feet”. We’ll spend the night in the Dades Gorge, at a local hotel which will include a complimentary dinner and breakfast.

Day 3: Dades Gorge – Ouarzazatte – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech

After breakfast we’ll drive towards Ouarzazatte passing through the route of a thousand Kasbahs (fortress). We’ll stop at Kalaat Mgouna, which is the center of The Valley of Roses, here we’ll stop for a stretch and lunch at a local restaurant. Then, we’ll continue our private tour stopping at the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. We cross Tizi-n-Tichka pass of the High Atlas mountains before ending our tour in Marrakesh.
